Full member

  • For people who want to help shape WAQK, vote on decisions, and contribute to its direction.

    • Voting rights at WAQK’s Annual and Special General Meetings

    • The ability to nominate someone for the Board (after 2 years of full membership)

    • The ability to stand for election to the Board (after 2 years of full membership)

    • Priority access to event info, limited-space events, and tickets before the general public

    • Discounted tickets to WAQK events

    • Access to members-only newsletters and updates

    • Access to private member chats or forums

    • Exclusive discounts on WAQK and affiliated merch

    • Member-only offers through Kindred clubs and groups

    • Member-only offers from queer-owned or kink-friendly businesses

    • A WAQK welcome gift (sticker, pin, or patch)

Associate member

  • For those who want to participate in the WAQK community

    • Priority access to event info, limited-space events, and tickets before the general public

    • Discounted tickets to WAQK events

    • Access to members-only newsletters and updates

    • Access to private member chats or forums

    • Exclusive discounts on WAQK and affiliated merch

    • Member-only offers through Kindred clubs and groups

    • Member-only offers from queer-owned or kink-friendly businesses

Pay it forward

  • This scheme covers the cost of memberships for people who want to join but can’t afford it right now.

  • Donate:

    • You can donate to our Pay It Forward pool through the membership application portal.

    • Every contribution, big or small, helps build a more inclusive and connected community.

    • You can donate when you sign up, or anytime you like.

    Apply:

    • If you would like to access a donated membership, just send us a message via the Contact page and let us know which membership type you are seeking.

    • We will respond in the order requests are received and invite people to apply as funds become available.

    • You will not be asked to justify your need.

  • WAQK is an intentional community space for individuals who:

    • Identify as women, non-binary, or genderqueer.

    • Your gender is or has been aligned to womanhood or female identity through lived experience and/or the continued exploration towards female identity (inclusive of trans people and intersex people).

    By participating in WAQK, members affirm that they meet these criteria in good faith.

    Please read our Inclusion Policy for more details.

  • Once your application is accepted, changes to your membership type may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To discuss a change, please contact our Membership team at membership@waqk-au.com.

  • After you submit the online form, your application will be reviewed by our Membership team.

    If approved, you’ll receive an email with a payment link. Once your payment is confirmed, we’ll send you:

    • A digital membership card for your phone wallet

    • Discount codes from our member benefit partners

    • An invitation to join our members-only private Facebook group

    If your application is not approved, we’ll email you with an explanation and any next steps.
