WAQK reflects on the 2025 Sydney Leather Titles

The 2025 Sydney Leather Titles took place on Saturday 26 July and brought together community members to celebrate leadership, service, and connection.

This year marked an exciting moment for inclusion with the launch of the Sydney Mx. Leather category. It was the first time a non-binary title was offered as part of the event.

We are so very proud that WAQK member, Zed was awarded the Sydney Mx. Leather title, and just as proud of WAQK members Lana and Nik for their sensational efforts as Mx. entrants.

WAQK congratulates all 2025 title winners:

• Mr. Sydney Leather 2025 – Luis

• Ms. Sydney Leather 2025 – Switchstress Margo

• Sydney Bootblack 2025 – Mia

We also want to acknowledge our Founding Chairperson, Nik Diesel, who participated in the Mx. Leather category. Nik stepped back from all WAQK Board responsibilities during the campaign period to ensure fairness and transparency.

Now that the competition has concluded, Nik will take a short breather and connect with the WAQK Board in the coming weeks to talk through next steps.

To all the contestants and titleholders, thank you for showing up with courage and authenticity. You make this community stronger just by being yourselves.
