WAQK Assembly – Community BBQ

The WAQK Assembly is a casual meet and greet (or munch, if you like) with a few extra goodies thrown in.

Now that WAQK is officially an incorporated association, the first order of business is obvious—a good old backyard BBQ.

Join us for a relaxed afternoon around the fire pit, with chilled-out social vibes, good food, and great people. Whether you're new to WAQK or have been around since the early days, this is your chance to connect, catch up, and celebrate the start of a new chapter.

What to expect:

• Chill social vibes

• Fire pit chats

• Meet and greet with new folks

• Smoked meats, fresh salads, and veg options

• Vegan BBQ gear ready (BYO plant-based eats)

• BYO alcohol – responsible consumption only

• Water and soft drinks provided

• Two very cute resident dogs, ready for pats

Location: Private residence, address provided to those who RSVP

This is a free event – please bring a plate or something to share if you can.

Allergy note: There are two friendly dogs at the venue.

Please note this event is an intentional community space for individuals who:

• Your gender is or has been aligned to womanhood or female identity through lived experience and/or the continued exploration towards female identity (inclusive of trans people and intersex people).
