Founding Chairperson steps down

After leading the WAQK Board with passion and purpose, Nik Diesel has stepped down as Chairperson.

Meet your new Chairperson

We are delighted to welcome Francesca D’Amico into the role. Francesca brings a deep sense of care, energy, and commitment to WAQK’s mission. With her at the helm, we look forward to continuing the work of building connection, community, and visibility.

And a new face joins the Board

Please welcome Yelena, our newest Board member. Yelena is a creative force who joined through our recent Expression of Interest process. They are stepping into the role of Social Media Officer, where they’ll lead the charge in shaping WAQK’s digital presence.

Nik has been instrumental in shaping WAQK into the inclusive, thriving community it is today. We are so grateful for everything they’ve done to support and represent our members.
